Visit London for restaurants to rival Dubai’s

If you’re from the UAE and thinking about visiting London, you’ve probably just scoffed at the title or this post. I know, I know – but hear me out!

For those of you not in the know, Dubai is famous for its fantastic variety of beautiful restaurants, offering amazing food and some of the best views in the world. There are restaurants serving every national cuisine you could imagine, as well as countless which specialise in delicious Arabic delicacies.

Not only are Dubai restaurants somewhere to eat, they are beautifully decorated and almost always provide an unforgettable evening out. How could any other city rival Dubai in its culinary establishments, I hear you ask? Well I’m here to provide you with a list of London restaurants, which are sure not to disappoint, even when it comes to visitors from the UAE

1.     Galvin at Windows, Park Lane

Love a great view? As well as excellent modern French cuisine, with the subtlest of hints towards British and Asian cooking, this restaurant provides beautiful views of Hyde Park and the rest of the capital.

2.     Dinner by Heston

If it’s an unforgettable dining experience you’re after then look no further. World-famous extravagant chef, Heston Blumenthal, has brought back British recipes of the past with a bang. Try cuisine that dates back as far as Tudor times, and experience rich, distinct flavours. Tipsy Cake, a feather-light brioche with spit-roasted pineapple is a highlight.

3.     Blueprint Café

Situated about London’s Design Museum, eat, sit and enjoy panoramic few of the Thames and Tower Bridge in beautiful British style at the Blueprint Café. They even provide a little pair of binoculars to allow you a closer look at all the capital has to offer. The décor is to die for and with a menu to match, this is my top London restaurant pick.

  • Like Dubai, London can be an expensive city to dine out in, so make sure you know how much you can afford. Use Travelex’s handy currency converter to check the ball-park figures you’ll be looking at, in Dirham, before you make your booking.
  • Speaking of booking, top London restaurants are often booked up months in advance, so plan well ahead of time.
