Hi Nick,
I think it is a great idea for those who have not travelled much or for those going to a new city where English is not spoken. Personally, I like the “do it yourself” touch especially after recently dealing with a big travel company who forgot to book me a transfer from an airport to a hotel and then when on arrival at the hotel, I was not booked into it nor on the tour. I knew what heartburn was all about and they had my money! I would pay the $50!

If meant that it took the hassle factor out why not pay $50. When it comes to booking family travel it can be far more complicated and painful than then accommodation and flights for two thanks approach. Its no wonder Families go and spend thousands on camping equipment and hit the road to the same spot year after year.

Think this is a GREAT idea. I too hate the running around and booking etc. $50 is very reasonable for taking all the pain out of the process. Although I think YOU’RE THE ONE who’ll need the holiday after all that running around.

That’s pretty honest to approve Laura’s comment bagging your new business idea! haha. For me, I absolutely HATE all that crap with getting quotes and everything. I would pay MORE than $50 (although since you want 50, then 50 it is..)

Gday Laura, thanks for your comment. Not everyone is of the same mind I dont think – we find a lot of people are either too busy or too over-awed by the whole process of going to get quotes, sitting in shopping centres waiting, wondering if the travel agency is reputable and so on.

MyTripQuote is taking all of that hassle and worry away so you can just get on with enjoying the holiday!

I dont think I would pay the money. It is one of the best parts of the holiday! In the planning you learn about the destination and what to expect. It just adds to the excitement of the trip.

Thanks Emma. I agree (of course haha). Most travel agents now charge a $50 booking fee since airline commissions have come down so far so in essence you could look at it as saving money, especially if you purchase the discounted comprehensive travel insurance as well. I am really excited about MyTripQuote.

Especially the 25% off insurance. You really do save your money.

$50 is what most travel agents charge at a minimum so it’s no fuss, especially for personalised service
