Kids who are not ready to ski, and parents who are looking for a low-cost family outing in the wintertime will find these Lake Tahoe snow-play areas a lot of fun. Most areas charge a fee; some have lifts and refreshment stands. Some disallow kids under 4, and some disallow bringing your own equipment.
Wear snow boots (not ski boots), waterproof pants, jacket, hat, gloves, goggles or glasses.
